Plagiarism Checking Policy

The Gujarat Journal of Extension Education (GJoEE) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical publishing practices. All submitted manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism screening to ensure that the published content is original and free from unethical copying or inappropriate reuse of previously published material.

1. Plagiarism Screening of Manuscripts

All manuscripts submitted to GJoEE undergo plagiarism checking before entering the peer-review process. The GJoEE uses recognized plagiarism detection software - “DrillBit” to identify similarities between the submitted manuscript and existing published literature, online sources, and other academic documents.

The plagiarism check includes:
Similarity with published research articles, conference papers, books, reports, and online sources.
Detection of copied text, inappropriate paraphrasing, and unacknowledged reuse of previously published content.
Identification of self-plagiarism or duplicate publication.
Exclusion of material while checking:

• Similarity above 20%: The manuscript may be rejected at the editorial stage due to substantial similarity with existing literature.
Note: Similarity percentages are considered along with the nature of matched content. Properly cited references, common methodological terms, and unavoidable technical phrases may be excluded during evaluation.
